Golden S Rescue, Inc.

 

With the help of our volunteers, we are in the process of finishing and weather-proofing our puppy room and kennels. Local volunteers from the high school, church, Knights of Columbus, and local citizens are volunteering their time to help us help our animals. We truly are everything we are because of them. Guardian Building Supply donated ALL of the decking for our kennels.  The local Home Depot has also been EXTREMELY generous and helpful in keeping us going. The local newspaper even donates their unused papers so our puppies can always have clean crates to romp and play in.

Our community outreach programs 

We have several programs that are designed to help our cummunity and their pets in this time of uncertainty and difficult economy. One of the programs is our recession assistance program that helps families that lose their homes find foster or forever homes for their pets. The other is the food assistance program for families who need help feeding their pets when job loss occurs. If we have it and you need it, it's yours! We are all in this together.

 

We have a couple exciting announcements to share!:

 

The first one is that Debra has just been spotlighted in the local newspaper for the work she does at the rescue. It is a very good article detailing why she decided to give up a very successful and acclaimed career as a jeweler and metalsmith to devote her life to saving the most vulnerable among us.

 

The second exciting announcement is that the rescue and one of our babies will be highlighted on the CBS Sunday morning show called CBS News Sunday Morning. Our baby Lannie was adopted by Mr. and Mrs. Geist. We told them how special she was and she did not disappoint! They are such nice people and it was a great day and adventure for all!

 

We couldn't be happier for our dear Lannie, now known as Daphne, because she will truly have a great life with a great family, and we couldn't be happier for Bill and Jody Geist! They have one outstanding pup that will bring joy and sillyness to their lives for many, many years to come!
